The components
Patrix (POM):
The ball's diameter is 3.0 mm, back-plate and milling measure 5 x 4 mm and are slightly rounded at the corners. Up to one third of the ball can be flattened at the basal side with no detrimental effect on friction.
The patrices are moulded into the crown and can then be casted with all dental alloys.
This patrix is offered as an injection moulded plastic part, which can be burned residue-free.
Matrix (PC), white or red:
The matrix measures 4 mm and encloses the patrix ball. A base plate is located at the occlusal side, which is fitted with a T-shaped splint above running along the ridge of the jaw. Both ensure retention of the detachable denture. The matrix is retained mechanically in the denture acrylic.
